A few locals (and GBCA members) headed that way...

Revolution (1d35), Al Poindexter (J70), Black River Racing (J70), Rebecca (J120)

Our Dallas friends on Vitesse and Hoss (Swan 42), Bruno Pasquenelli (J70)
Austin friends too...

127 boats total, with 26 boats internationally registered...
I would call Key West one on North Americas premier regattas.
(Funny how a certain sailing website won't even recognize its existence)

Good luck GBCA, Houston (and Texas) teams!

It appears the the J120 Rebecca took 3rd in their division.  Way to go Glen.

On Revolution, if you look at the finish times, it didn't do all that bad, it was the corrected times that killed it. Granted we should have done better.
Plus, Marty the fordeck has a new name, it is "Damit". so when you see him at a party or out on the bay don't forget to say hi.

Its tough to do well against the kind of competition Revolution had.  A j122, J44, and 4 J111's.  Five of those boats are much easier to sail then the 1D35 just because they have sprits.  The fourth might be just as hard as a 1D but I doubt it.  You guys did well considering the competition and the boat differences.  Stinger did not do as well in Dago, but we learned a hell of a lot.

In the words of Bill Beatty, "That's my comment" and I'm a-sticking to it.
