The GBCA Basic Sailboat Racing Seminar is open to all boat owners and crew that would like to learn the basics of yacht racing. The seminar begins at 1130 at the GBCA office. There will be presentations covering the Racing Rules of Sailing, Race Committee actions and Basic Racing Tactics and Strategy. Lunch will be served.

The classroom session will adjourn in time for crews and skippers to head out on the water to race in the first of GBCA's 2013 Rum Race Series.  We will match up skippers and crew with experienced volunteers to enhance the learning experience.  New boats will be given provisional ratings for the race.

After the racing, we will return to the GBCA office for the Rum Race after-party with refreshments, stories and awards.

Calling for volunteers to assist with this program.  We will need boats that can take seminar participants out for the afternoon rum race.  We may also need volunteers who are willing to jump on with a seminar participant who wants to bring their own boat.  Let me know where you can help.

Thanks

Thanks to those that have already volunteered.  We still need a few more boats to volunteer to take a seminar participant or two and a couple more coaches to help a seminar participant with their boat in the rum race.  Please post here on contact me.
