Caliche Rum is sponsoring the Shoe Regatta.  They have cool Fedora hats to give out, and liquid trophies for first place skippers, to go along with the traditional shoes for each first place crew member.  Dwight is planning three lines to accommodate a J-70 national qualifying event, so there will be a distance course and windward leewards to make everybody happy.
Caliche will be giving a Caliche Rum spinnaker to one lucky skipper, and as always, the name of the winner of the most competitive fleet will be added to the perpetual trophy.
This should be an event not to be missed.  Come party with us!

I'm in! You had me at the fedora and then there was something about liquid trophies - Yup, I'm in.

Got to sail on Millie today with Chris Dees and crew. Lot of fun, lots of work. Tramp went out and got a few pics today.

As usual, super shots, but everyone knows, Tramp rocks.

Thanks, the old man at home wishes he was there.

Great weather, great sailing....an amazing weekend to be on the water! Thanks to all of the competitors and volunteers!

Unfortunately there was an error in the Beneteau 41 results/awards announced at the Awards affecting 1st & 2nd places, the root of which involved the results of Race 1. The corrected overall results are:

  • 1st Place - Tipsea, Dennis Kokkinis
  • 2nd Place - Honey Badger, Scott Tuma

Our apologies to the skippers and crew of both boats.

Two amazing days for sailing on the Bay. If the conditions would be like this the whole year we wouldn't have no place to sail because of everyone moving here! RC thanks for being out there and herding all the cats and for your illuminating guidance on finishing the right way.

The last race showed how conflicts are resolved the Corinthian way in this case at the low range mark, between the affected boats without bothering the RC.

Unfortunately John Lacy couldn't focus on the spectacular distance class this time we really miss the pictures. I saw someone (Andrea?) making pictures on the RC boat, hope we get to see them, especially the start on Sunday.

Sorry Maarten. John came out to get pictures of his other half (me racing on Millie) and the small boat line. He had wife's and girlfriends (or both) of sailors on the small boat line. It got a little rollie pollie Saturday and I accused them of heading to the dock early because they were spilling the champagne! They denied that of course ;D. Hope to see you for the rum races in two weeks.

As always, thank you john for the time you spend providing great visual coverage of of our sailing events. Your pictures of Terrorist and Further finishing Race 3 are better than you know!
