Athena struggled across at 8:21pm.

If my wife were to read here that I am removing Athena's head she might misunderstand the terminology.

Shucks - was just advised I can't remove the toilet or even the toilet seat. However, the spam and ravioli can go.

"Highly coveted awards"? That does it. I'll be down there tomorrow getting ready: Remove toilet, install pickle bucket. Empty water tanks, bring a bottle of water. Ravioli and spam off, rice cakes on. Do I need to carry an anchor?

Athena came is at 2009  on Rum Race #3.

I thought it was a great race, good people and well-run. Being tired, short-handed and fighting for every inch we got, both events got a bit tedious towards the ends, but we'll definitely be in it next year.

Never having gone to Galveston for the night, can anyone recommend a place to get a slip? I just called the Harbor House and they said I can only stay there if I also book a night in their hotel - I plan to stay aboard that night.

The makeup is on June 3? Shucks - just cancel my registration again - I'll be doing a triathlon with my kids.

Has anyone done this race solo? I didn't see any SOS-TEX class, so pehaps they don't allow it.
