Cruising Club skippers, if you have not already done so, please provide your finishing time. There should have been an e-mail from Regatta network sent out this morning, check you spam box if you didn't get it. Please reply to that message. We need these results so that the Cruising fleet has adjusyed ratings in time for the Conundrum regatta on July 26th.

Cruising Club skippers who have not yet turned in their finishing times, are requested to do so as soon as possible. We will post the finishing times and adjust ratings accordingly.

Club handicaps does this already to allow us to adjust their handicaps.

For the other fleets there is no requirement to report finish times to GBCA.
I encourage each racer to record their own time and share it with others in their fleet to gauge how much separation there was.
If the other fleets turn in their times those can be published.

Late fees will apply for those who register after July 22.

I will change the Sailing instructions so that current cruising class handicaps are used.
I will advise the fleet when that has been done.

This event is designed to introduce the novice skipper or crew to the fundamentals of proper sail trim. Topics for discussion include: How sails work, boat, sail and wind terminology, sailing in different wind conditions and points of sail. Attendees spend about 3 hours in a class at the GBCA clubhouse and then may go out to race in the Rum Race that afternoon.

After racing, we will return to the GBCA office for the Rum Race after-party with refreshments, stories and awards.

If you have a boat but have never raced, we have just the fleet for you. The Club Handicap Fleet is designed for the sailor who doesn't have racing sails, doesn't have his diver's number in speed dial, doesn't want to unload the blender, bimini and barbecue pit before every race, but who has his crew tighten up the jib sheet if gets within hailing distance of another boat. Come to the Seminar and race in the Rum Race that afternoon.

The Seminar starts at 09:30 and will be over by 2pm, to allow time to get to boats. Lunch and soft drinks/water will served. All of this for only $10.00!

Correction- the Date is July 26th, the day after the juniors regatta.

Good news! We've decided on a date to run the 2015 Conundrum!
Sunday July 25th, the day after the GBCA Junior's regatta.

Changes apart from the date that are reflected in the Sailing Instructions:

- Mark M53 is replaced with Mark M52, since M53 is missing.
- Course length is 20.4 NM. The pursuit start table is updated with those times to reflect this.
- In the event a mark is missing, yachts shall round the coordinates of the missing mark.
- Awards will be as soon as possible afterward at the GBCA clubhouse.
