Un-Classified Ads / Spot Tracker

New in box Gen 3 Spot Tracker. We bought it for Harvest Moon but decided to just use the rental instead of paying to register one (since HMR is the only time we would ever need it. Cost $150 and we're hoping to get what we paid but open to offers! Call 713 408-0444.

I agree!

I voted to have it earlier as that gives boats coming from HYC more time to get back and still make it to the party (hopefully before all the food is gone) :)

Our team is going to be competing at the Blind Sailing Nationals once again in Newport, RI on September 6th and 7th.  As a post-regatta fun activity, we have chartered legendary 2 time America's Cup winner "Intrepid" for a 2 hour sail on Monday evening Sep. 8. We have room for a few other people and wee know some of our Houston sailing friends will be in Newport for various events that week, so if anyone would like to join us, contact me for information.

General Discussion / Charlie Slaydon
July 20, 2014, 09:51:46 PM
Charlie Slaydon, a member of the Galveston Bay sailing community for well over 40 years, passed away over the weekend after a very long battle with a variety of health issues including Leukemia. Charlie was a cantankerous old sailor but had a heart of gold and was a very dear friend to David and me. We are in contact with his family; they are planning a memorial service and we will post the information once the arrangements have been made. His family does have his cell phone, so if anyone who knew him well needs to get in touch with his family, they can be reached at that number.

We can't do the race but we can probably make it for the festivities - we'll get our tickets soon if we can make it!

February 17, 2014, 06:18:29 PM
Hi! We're looking for experienced and reliable crew to add to our roster. Phoenix is a 1986 C&C Mk III 35'. A very comfortable boat but also a great PHRF racer! We are very competitive but still like to have a good time whiel we're out there. We have a great core group who sails with us but we could use a few extra experienced hands for various bay races, so if you're interested, call me at 713 408-0444. Thanks
