We usually pick up the ice by car, park down by the dock(s) and transfer the ice from there.  When we tied up on the pier it was a bit of a hoof but I can't believe it will be that far from the slips.  Sorry I don't have specific directions but as you enter the marine and just before you get to the boat slips you take a left and that takes you directly to the bait shop.  I seem to remember that you can buy ice in much smaller sizes then 40# but I don't actually remember what sizes they sell.

BTW Jim, your link does not work.

We're looking for a few reliable volunteers who are not racing (or RC) in the morning or early afternoon of Thursday 7/22 to help Kathy and her crew help prepare the cabana area near the GYB pool.
You might be asked to run an errand or two on the island, simple stuff

Question: What is mark 1C?

Answer: Mark 1C is Galveston Entrance Buoy 1C (Green).  From the start, outbound, green buoys are "11" - "9" - "7" - "5" - "3" - "1C".

Question:  Will mark ?Y? be in the water before the starting sequence and will its coordinates be broadcast?

Answer: Mark ?Y? will be dropped to form a windward-leeward leg between it and mark ?O?.  It is likely that it will not be dropped before the start sequence.  The race committee will attempt to broadcast the approximate bearing and distance from ?O? to ?Y? on VHF channel 69.  Lat/Lon coordinates for mark ?Y? will not be broadcast.

If your going to use a slip at the Yacht Basin, my guess is that it will be in one of the two marked areas.  The one on the North is E-Dock I think.  Anyway Stinger will be in E37.

Will get day 2 and 3 loaded today.

I would just like to say thanks to Scott for all the work he does on Tramp.  Yes we both own the boat but he does all of the work, without Scott there would be no Tramp!  Thanks!  :-*
